- FLMI, ACS qualification preferred
- 5-10 years’ working experience in life insurance underwriting (with underwriting authority)

- Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Experience on handling various projects would be an advantage
- Excellent PC skills, with good knowledge of application software including MS Office and Chinese word processing

- Work towards effective sales campaigns and customer-centric solutions
- Recruit, maintain and support travel agencies, and grow the travel business portfolio

To lead a team of actuarial staff to assist the Chief Insurance Risk Officer in actuarial work including but not limited to valuation of insurance liabilities, management reporting, local regulatory and Regional Office reporting, Economic Capital and Embedded Value reporting.Key responsibilities -
- Review and establish control procedures on monthly and year-end valuation.
- Monitor experience factors and establish proper assumptions for valuation, Economic Capital, Embedded Value and other studies.
- Perform investigations to assist the CIRO on efficient use of Economic Capital and optimize value creation of the Hong Kong BU.
- Perform ALM study to assist the CIRO in managing the asset-liability risk of the Hong Kong BU.
- Oversee business planning process.
- Assist the CIRO to manage the actuarial department to develop staff, to prioritize work and to plan resources with targets & timelines.
- Prepare and review regulatory filings.
- Leading/participate in ad-hoc business projects
Requirements -
- Fellow of recognised actuarial organization.
- University graduate with strong Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics background.
- At least 12 years experience in related field and at least 3 years of experience in managerial role.
- Experience and knowledge in IFRS & US GAAP financial reporting, asset/ liability management, capital and value modelling and reporting.
- Sound technical skills in actuarial and finance field.
- Planning, problem solving and execution capability
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to communicate actuarial issues with non-actuarial people with minimal use of jargon
