Asia-Pacific Business Development ManagerDue to continued expansion our client, an award winning provider of wealth management products is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their innovative team.Work closely with Local, Regional and Corporate senior management to assist with:
- Identifying and evaluating M&A opportunities
- Identifying and evaluating new market entry opportunities
- Due diligence activities, including business and financial analysis and assessment of strategic fit
- Deal structuring, valuation and negotiation
- Managing post-acquisition integration
- Assessing potential new distribution opportunities and strategic alliances
- Perform on-going industry and competitors analysis and identify industry trends that may affect the Company’s businesses
- Maintain the Regional Business Development Database
- Prepare credentials & marketing documents to support business development initiatives
- Lead and manage ad hoc strategic projects
- Develop a good understanding of the Company’s diverse businesses as well as the markets in which we operate
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (local, regional, and corporate senior management) and external parties (investment bankers, consultants and industry professionals)
Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (CPA/MBA preferred)
- At least 6 years experience in financial services (Insurance industry preferred)
- Previous experience in research, M&A or business/corporate development would be an advantage
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
- Very strong business acumen
- Excellent communication skills
- High degree of flexibility and adaptability
- Willingness and flexibility to travel as needed

Offering a full range of both Life and General Insurance products through a variety of distribution channels, they are looking for career and service driven professional's to support their growth plans for the region. Due to the growing demand in this sector my client is seeking an Travel Insurance professional to work closely with the Business Development Manager within their Consumer team. Working to sales targets you will enjoy developing marketing plans to increase your portfolio size.Responsibilities include -
- To assist Business Development Manager in formulating & implementing marketing plans with the aim to cultivate travel insurance business from existing and prospective partners, and end customers
- Develop effective Affinity, Worksite and Brand Leverage distribution channels for consumer business
- Maintain and prosper relationships with partners
- Work towards effective sales campaigns and customer-centric solutions
- Recruit, maintain and support travel agencies, and grow the travel business portfolio
- Manage both legal and operational compliance of travel agencies
- Maintain the well-being of the portfolio in terms of profitability, premium leakage and compliance

To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate -
- University graduate in Marketing or business-related disciplines
- A solid sales & marketing experience gained from insurance industry
- Sound general insurance knowledge particularly in travel business
- Solid experience in conducting training and seminars to intermediaries
- Good knowledge of service and operations management
- Able to work both independently and within a team
- Outspoken, aggressive and customer-oriented
- Excellent command of written and spoken English & Chinese
