Business Development Controller

Job Description

This role is one of the key senior management roles. During the coming years the company is targeting substantial growth both in existing business areas as well as by venturing into new businesses in the industrial & related sectors. The Business Development Controller will be instrumental in driving the major growth initiatives. In addition, a small number of Key Account customers as well as key decision makers will need to be dealt with. It will be within the responsibility of this role to maintain close relationships and endeavor to strengthen business ties. You will be responsible for significant projects.

Content, Targets & KPIs:

You will identify potential growth initiatives and carry out feasibility studies to implement such initiatives in cooperation with the Management. Such initiatives may include:

• Locating key principals and negotiating and agreeing agencies with them.
• Entering into new business areas within or close to the scope of an existing Division, targeting the same customers
• Entering into new business areas outside the scope of an existing Division
• Entering into new geographical markets
• Establishment of JV and M&A in the above areas where feasible

The target will be to identify the most promising growth areas to prepare the implementation plan and upon the agreement of this plan, manage the successful implementation along the defined milestones and timeline.

KPIs and success will be measured in terms of:

• Identification of BD opportunities measured by feasibility studies with positive results
• Agreement on the implementation plan in conjunction with the key stake holders
• Implementation of BD initiative in time and in budget
• Handover and transition into the responsible operating unit as per agreed project plan.

• Potential principals and JV partners
• International and local trade associations and chambers of commerce, key influencers
