Assistant Finance Manager - Finance Systems

Job Description

Background

• Assist Head of Finance Systems Integration in delivering a multi-site project in rolling out SAP FICO in different offices after the merger
• Drive through re-engineering, testing and subsequent delivery of equities information from the equities system into SAP FICO, then will be followed by transition of financial data from the existing ledger to SAP FICO.
• Involves reviewing finance systems contained within the existing entities and to remap to a new entity
• Assist the users in migrating business and ensuring appropriate controls, validations are present and undertaken appropriately
• Work closely with the Financial Control team to understand down stream reporting requirements from SAP-FICO

Project Duties

• Planning of Finance activities as input into larger cross functional projects or for small Finance sponsored projects
• Defining/Securing of resources required to work on projects
• Liaising with Finance users and other areas where appropriate to determine users requirements
• Preparation of test plans, test scripts, test scenarios
• Preparation and performing System Test, co-ordinating UAT
• Performing and co-ordinating migration strategies and implementations
• Documentation, Implementation and training on process changes
• Production of user procedures and training materials with external consultants
• Issue identification, tracking and resolution
• Ensure proper documentation exists to evidence the business analytical work conducted throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure compliance with the project controls applicable to each phase of the project
• Performance of Post Implementation reviews

Experience Required

• Ideal profile is a Business Analyst working in an Investment Bank on Finance projects, with an Equities focus
• Degree holder in finance, accounting, a professional accountancy qualification would be an added advantage
• Extensive experience (4-5 years) from working in a Finance line and / or a Finance project role within a financial markets / investment banking institution
• Strong product knowledge in Investment Banking products and local regulatory environment
• Experiences in working with external functional consultants is an advantage
• Demonstrate good initiative, energy and vision
• Interested in IT systems and project
