Project Manager - Finance Change

Job Description

Background

• A program of Finance system implementations is being driven to multiple locations (spread over in Asia, US and Europe) in parallel as a result of an integration event. This candidate is responsible for driving the rollout into aUKgroup company.
• The implementation is planned for about 9 months. However, contract of suitable candidate is likely to be extended for another one year onEuroperollout.
• The system is SAP ERP (FICO modules) which is being used by the group Finance teams inAsia. A few upstream systems will be interfaced to the SAP system inUK.
• Processes change in the US Finance team is expected for which the candidate will also need to manage the overall change processes.
• Implementation teams includeHong Kongcentral program management team, local Finance users & integration manager, local IT teams and local consultants. The candidate needs to work closely with these teams.

Project Duties

• Stay in Hong Kong and work closely withUKlocal teams on project execution.
• Work closely with HK program management team on project status, issues, actions, cost tracking etc.
• DriveUKteams on Finance activities planning ie on project activities, timelines, deliverable etc
• Define/ secure UK Finance resources on each Finance activity.
• DriveUKteams on design, requirements gathering, development and users testing, training, data migration and processes change.
• Hold regular project meetings with each project stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
• Identify potential issues, mitigation actions and escalation.
• Ensure proper project documentation is in place by each local teams

Experience Required

• PMP certified project manager or equivalent
• 5-years work experience on project management ie system implementation, and preferably on corporate/finance systems
• Global rollout experience
• Experience in investment banking or financial institution is an advantage
• SAP FICO implementation experience is an advantage, but not a must
• Degree holder in finance, accounting or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage
• Highly motivated and committed
• Good communication skills
