Divisional Financial Controller

The Company

Our client is a multinational US owned manufacturing company.

The Role

As the Hong Kong Divisional Financial Controller you have final responsibility of the financial accounting, reporting & control of both the manufacturing site in China& the assembly site in Hong Kong. You will oversee local (Hong Kong & China), divisional and corporate (US headquarters) reporting, tax declarations & reporting, as well as local treasury. You will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly consolidated financial statements, trended budget variance analysis and forecasting reports, thus providing recommendations to Management.

Being part of the local management team, you will ensure that the team is supported & that corporate processes & procedures are followed.

Leading a team of 7 people, 4 inHong Kong& 3 in Shenzhen, you report directly to the functional head based in the global HQ with a dotted line report to the Hong Kong General Manager.

The Individual

• Masters degree in Finance / Accounting
• Strong finance & accounting professional with solid experience in heading a finance function in a multinational production environment and as such gained a thorough experience in working with senior management
• Solid experience in financial analysis and people management
• Good knowledge of USGAAP, PRCGAAP & IFRS (HKGAAP)
• Solid experience in product costing, especially standard costing
• Solid tax (Corporate tax, VAT) experience, both for Hong Kong & China
• ERP system experience, preferably SAP
• Fluency in Mandarin, English & Cantonese
