Job Description

A major global bank in Hong Kong, is now seeking suitable candidates with high calibre to join them as Change Management Manager in Product Control. The role falls within Product Control’s Global Change Management team. The team has the responsibility to build up the capability of Product Control, and its IT infrastructure to support the growth of the business.

Roles/Responsibilities

• The focus of the role lies in providing a dedicated service to HK Product Control Team.

• Responsible for the implementation of the changes and the realisation of the business benefits of the Hong Kong Product Control projects, in conjunction with the relevant line managers. This essentially encompasses:

1.Act as coordinator between the Product Control and IT teams with the responsibility for the formation and implementation of annual Derivatives Product Control IT systems.

2.Coordination for and representation of HK Product Control on global finance/product control/global business-driven IT projects and their deliveries.

3.Providing status updates for on each project to Product Control and Business Change Management.

• Work with other members of Derivatives Product Control Change Management and senior product controllers globally to help define the target processes, understand the gap between the current and target process, and so work with line managers to identify the opportunity for improvements and work with other project teams to ensure that the proposed solutions will meet the requirements.

• Work with the Derivatives Product Control Managers in Hong Kong and the local and global IT teams to address systems weaknesses and ensure that the business growth is not constrained by systems issues.

• Work closely with other Business Change Management team members to avoid overlaps and gaps in providing change management services and day-to-day support to different lines of business within Finance, especially for projects/systems that cover multiple lines of business.

• Manage project stakeholders with different perspectives.

• Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which you are involved.

• To maintain the firm's internal control standards, including timely implementation of resolutions to internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

Skills/Experience

• In-depth knowledge of Treasury systems including TREATS, Summit, Murex, Calypso, Sophis, and expertise in Microsoft Excel, Access and Visual Basic.

• At least 2 years Project management experience.

• Minimum 7 years’ exposure to the full range of Treasury products and the financial control requirements surrounding them. This includes P&L, risk and accounting processes, other best practice guidelines and external regulatory requirements.

• Strong analytical and investigative skills.

• Ability to work effectively with staff across cultural boundaries.

• Experience in mediating between non-technical users and technical IT staff.

• Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal.

• Line Derivatives Product Control experience
