Senior System Administrator

Job Description

Responsibilities:

System Administrator within Enterprise Test Environment includes the following:

• Design document and build infrastructure components related to storage solution requirements from application, systems and database teams
• Manages the planning, hardware installation and configuration, optimization, and on-going maintenance of the computer/data center
• Oversees systems performance and the monitoring of equipment
• Manages key vendor relationships
• Responsible for capacity planning and continual assessments for process improvement to ensure that processes are well-documented, sustainable, and scalable
• Monitors on-going practices to ensure consistency with policies, compliance, and control requirements
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function
• Available to support after hours and be available to support on call 24X7

Knowledge & Requirements:

• Bachelor-s degree in computer technology discipline or equivalent of 5+ years' experience as a System Administrator
• 5+ years' hands on experience on the following disciple: Windows 2003-2008 (32 and 64 bit hardware in large enterprise environment) , Linux, Red Hat, Unix, AIX32
• 5+ years' hand on experience with blade server installation and configuration with VMware in production/enterprise test environments
• Experience with Microsoft based networking technologies such as DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP,SNMP, TCP/IP
• Experience with one or more enterprise class storage systems (NetApp, STK) (preferred
• Experience with enterprise scale Windows technologies such as Active Directory, IIS, Windows Clustering and Virtualization
• Strong ability to prioritize workload and shift attention among changing priorities
• Strong support and service skills with internal organizations
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to function under pressure in a highly dynamic and high growth environment.
• Must have and solid technical background including experience in monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting and networking.
• Experience with system integration from test environment into production
• Excellent organization skills, and effective communication in English
• Certifications: Microsoft MCSE 2003 or greater, Comptia A+, Net+ and Security +, CISSP, VMware VCP, Citrix CCA
