Senior System Support Analyst with a leading Investment bank

Job Description

MAIN OBJECTIVES & PURPOSE :

Provide production support services on Front Office electronic trading platform.

KEY RESULTS AREAS :

• Be responsible for the applications support of Equities & Derivatives Trading and Sales business focus on electronic trading platform for both cash equities and listed derivatives including automation and market making systems.
• Required to support internal clients and to troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues in the production environment.
• Management and tracking of daily production problems; Ensure effective and timely resolution and communications to the client; Coordinate with exchanges or brokers; Report and follow through bug fixing with development team.
• Ensure adequate performance and operation of the systems - monitor the performance⁄operation, diagnose and address any problems. Regularly review and improve system capacity to accommodate trading volume growth.
• Perform the Quality Assurance testing and deployment or upgrade of mission critical trading applications and systems.
• Follow ITIL Application Support methodology to carry out incident and system change management procedures.
• Provide system and process documentation.
• Shift duty, weekend and holiday work might be required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Hands-on Front Office production support experience
• 4-6 years experience within in Investment bank
• Strong Cash Equity background
• Good understanding of UNIX, LINUX, and scripting languages
• Strong experience in market connectivity / exchange connectivity support
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proven rapid learning capability
• Superior organizational and time management skills
