Business Analyst

Job Description

Our Client, a top-tier European private bank is looking for a Business Analyst to join the strategy team to focus on the expansion on the Wealth’s businesses in Asia-Pacific

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing continuous strategic assessment of existing business franchises and competitive positioning
• Undertaking new business development activities
• Driving analytics for business-specific strategy projects, including market entry / sizing, regional governance and collaboration with investment banks
• Conducting detailed country strategy reviews to identify strategic priorities / opportunities in each market
• Liaising with business representatives and product experts on a regular basis
• Establishing position as a trusted internal advisor to the business
• Performing detailed competitor and market analysis (both qualitative and quantitative)
• Providing ongoing analytics (including PowerPoint presentations and ad-hoc analysis), communications and support for the regional CEO office
• Collaborating with Finance, the regional COO office and logistics functions to provide strategic operational support and analysis

Job requirements:

• Strong financial analytical capability
• Ability to independently draft reports and presentations with little senior supervision
• Must possess good knowledge of private banking and investment banking businesses and knowledge of APAC market
• Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to think outside the box
• Exceptional communication / interpersonal skills, including the maturity to engage directly with senior management
• Must be able to work in a matrix reporting structure, multi-functional and cross-cultural environment
• A team player who is well-organized and meticulous in details and has the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent English; Chinese is a plus
• 2-3 years work experience in corporate strategy, investment banking, or management consulting is required
• Must hold a Bachelors Degree in Economics, Business, or Finance with outstanding academic marks from a reputable university
