Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • In charge of the appropriate suite of reports available to CEO and market heads regardless of source
  • Regional oversight of all MI reports produced by various functions and highlight discrepancies, duplication and inconsistency for management attention
  • Maintain a central log of user requirements for future MI system enhancement / development
  • Own and maintain the interim MI automation database for monthly production of Sales Management reports
  • Implement Phase 2 of the interim MI automation database to include reporting on segmentation, prospecting and joint targets of PBs with other functions
  • Ensure access right and database security are maintained and meet both Group Policies and the requirements of Business Heads
  • Ensure all input by different data owner to the database are submitted on a timely basis and perform manual quality checks to ensure data are usable
  • Perform random checks and sensible checks to ensure all output from the database are in order before distribution to PBs
  • Act as Asia Point Person to coordinate with other locations and functions to achieve consistency of approach across Coutts International and when possible, across Wealth
  • Undertake regular ad-hoc sensitive business analysis by making use of the MI automation database including performance, HR, cost and other reviews
  • Provide user training to new joiners
  • Work closely with all Sales Managers and functions to ensure adequate data capturing, classification, and reporting.
  • Facilitate data cleansing and consistency across systems and leverage on existing capabilities.
  • Initial one FTE to support MI requirements first for bankers first and when the second FTE can be added, the team should cover P&S and WPs/ICs

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in MI or data analytic role or sales and business management related jobs
  • Fair knowledge and previous experience in Wealth Management
  • Experience in business planning/forecasting and management information reporting
  • Excellent numerical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Able to work through ambiguity and come up with well-reasoned recommendations
  • Able to appreciate strategy and big picture and yet strong on financial details
  • Strong financial modeling capabilities with excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent team and interpersonal skills, able to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong financial analytical capability
  • Ability to think independently and escalate issues on MI on a timely basis
  • Knowledge of private banking and investment banking businesses including product and profit mechanism and familiarity with the Asia Pacific region
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to think outside the box
  • Outstanding communication / interpersonal skills, including the maturity to engage directly with senior management
  • A team player who is well-organized and meticulous in details and has the ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent English and Chinese
