AVP - Economist

Join on of the worlds largest and most diverse insurance related organisations, operating across 20 countries. Unrivaled in the underwriting performance and their diverse portfolio, my client is looking for an Economist to join their Regional consulting team.

Major Responsibilities:-

• Analysis covering the Asia-Pacific region, in areas including economic, financial and insurance/reinsurance market developments;
• Support client managers in servicing their clients, including providing ad-hoc consulting services to selected clients
• Support in-house strategic consulting projects;
• Publish on insurance/financial markets-related issues;
• Networking with local insurance companies, academia, associations, supervisory authorities and business economists in regional markets.

Requirements:-

• Post-graduate degree in economics;
• Outgoing personality with strong presentation skills;
• 2 to 5 years experience in financial services, preferably in consulting and banking/insurance;
• Good English writing and communication skills and high degree of initiative;
• Able to demonstrate the ability to work with the business to provide relevant and pro-active research findings and analysis;
• Adaptability to work in a matrix organization and appreciation of cross-functional cooperation
• Strong analytical and problem solving with sound organisational skills
• Meticulous, mature and independent team player

Key Relationships:- Liaise with local, regional team and other business/functional units inAsia
