My Advice:The market in Hong Kong is relying more and more on contract professionals. Therefore, my advice to candidates is to always consider contract opportunities as a chance to grow your career, explore other sectors and enter prestigious companies. Be aware of the ever-changing landscape especially if you are trying to climb the career ladder from local, to regional to global in your specialist field.
I started my career in recruitment with Robert Half in 2006, where I managed a team of 3 in Banking Operations, and having achieved an impressive performance, I was ranked amongst the top 20 global Robert Half recruiters in the Financial Services team in my third year. Later on I was offered the opportunity to build up the Technology team and therefore I managed a team of 6, covering both permanent and contract hiring within Commerce, Industry and Financial Services. In the past 9.5 years of being in recruitment, I have built a large portfolio of clients ranging from SMEs to large corporates, built up teams from scratch and trained up consultants to make sure we achieve team targets while delivering the best service.
